We began our 6 day trip to Prague and Paris today. Our flight to Calgary left at 2:30pm. I was having trouble checking in online so when we got to the airport we had to have an agent do it. There was an issue with our ticket that required the agent to call her operations center to help sort it out. It took about 15 min to clear up. We sailed through security and had enough time for a quick snack at the lounge. The first flight was uneventful besides being delayed 45 minutes.

Because of the delay, we only had 30 min in Calgary before boarding was to begin, enough for another quick visit to the lounge before the 8 hour flight. There was another short delay plus some de-icing time.
The flight was good. I forgot that I booked the bulkhead seats and we ended up with no one in the middle seat so it made for a comfortable trip.
Our first stop was Paris for a plane change. We had a 3 hour wait for our Air France flight to take us to our final destination of Prague. This flight was also a little delayed due to the incoming flight. We finally made it to Prague airport around 6pm. Because we cleared passport control in Paris, landing in Prague was like a domestic flight.

We ended up taking the bus from the airport to the metro station. From there we took a train into the city. We had approximately an 8 min walk to our hotel. The whole journey from airport to hotel was less than an hour.
It was after 7pm once we were checked in. We were given a loft room. We had a little living room and bathroom on the main floor and upstairs was the bedroom, which was the footprint of the entire lower floor. It was a huge room. We would find out later that the stairs up and down to the bathroom in the night were really creaky so we both woke each other up.

As it was only 7pm, we went out for a walk and to get some dinner. Our hotel was only a 10 min walk to the center of it all. We ate at a restaurant we found on YouTube while investigating things to do on this trip. We both had the traditional goulash and dumplings and split an apple strudel for dessert. The video said this was supposed to be an inexpensive meal but ended up costing more than expected. I guess the video being 2 years old and inflation had something to do with the discrepancy.

We walked back to the hotel and went to bed.

This is a little bit of an upgrade since you and I were there!!!!!!!!!!!! and that’s an understatement
