Our visit to Beijing was over so it was time to continue the adventure with a train journey to Xian, home of the Terracotta Warriors. We departed the hotel around noon on Monday and arrived the Beijing Xi West Railway station about 45 minutes later. Laura got us settled into the train station and we said our goodbye’s.
We all grabbed some fast food for the journey as we weren’t sure what would be offered on the train.
When it was time to board, our car was near the back of the train and of course, the platform entrance was near the front so we had to schlep our bags about 20 cars back. Our trip was on a high-speed bullet train that topped out at 300 km/hr. We departed promptly at 2pm and arrived at 6:20pm in Xian.
