Fernando Botero, born 1932, is a Colombian figurative artist and sculptor, born in MedellÃn. His signature style, also known as “Boterismo”, depicts people and figures in large, exaggerated volume, which can represent political criticism or humor, depending on the piece. He is considered the most recognized and quoted living artist from Latin America, and his art can be found in highly visible places around the world, such as Park Avenue in New York City and the Champs-Élysées in Paris.

The museum was free and was much more enjoyable than I expecting. While most of the art was from Botero, there were other artists on display. Here a a few of my favorites

And these two are Picaso’s

Great art work. You told us what the corn drink didn’t taste like , but you didn’t tell us what it DID taste like.
Interesting art work. The artists favor the full bodied style.
Oh how wonderful, I would love to visit this museum.
